An alumni-focused magazine showcases diverse interviews with former Columbia College Chicago students, capturing their post-graduation journeys through distinctive front and back covers.
For my Publication class, we all put together a magazine interviewing previous Columbia College Alumni. For this assignment, everyone designed their own cover pages, opening pages, table of contents, class biographies, and separate interview spreads. The interview spreads by the class were later combined together to be printed using our own designed content. The person I chose to interview was Sam Fitzpatrick, a creative who works in Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography, and Videography.
The magazine has street and urban influences as that best represented the person I interviewed. I used bright yellows to contrast from the rest of the content as a text accent. The page texture is scanned paper, as I thought it was an interesting look, as well as brought back ideas of school.
